TOP 7 QUESTIONS WE HEAR FROM PATIENTS
Which Insurances Do We Accept?
We accept many forms of insurance. The current healthcare changes require a phone call to verify your insurance benefits to ensure you are covered.
Can Physical Therapy help?
Physical therapy addresses many musculo-skeletal issues people have. This can include anything from an acute injury, such as a sprained ankle, to a chronic injury, such as shoulder tendonitis.
What should I bring to my treament sessions?
It is best to arrive a little early if you require to change. Wearing comfortable clothes, like your workout gear, will make it easy for the therapist to access the body part.
How long does it take?
Generally treatment sessions last between 45 to 60 minutes each.
Do I need to see a physician before coming to Physical Therapy?
Not necessarily. The current regulations allow patients to come directly to see a physical therapist for a certain number of visits. Otherwise, having a physician's referral is also readily accepted. Insurance benefits will cover both options.
What do treatment sessions entail?
Every session and every patient is different. Generally there is time taken for manual therapy, followed by therapeutic exercise, and then ice with electrical stimulation.
What kind of people come to Physical Therapy?
Anyone who is active and wishes to remain active. Whether you are an 11 year-old swimmer with a sore shoulder to a senior golfer with injured knees wanting to walk a portion of an 18-hole golf course.
